Classical Music is superior to any other form in terms of the depths of its emotion and the corresponding complexity of its expression. In other forms of music, the lyrics give meaning, but limit the emotional range and expression by the very definitions of the words and inflection. However, in a classical piece, one can feel the depth and significance in the full range of emotions expressed musically via melodic/chord structures and timbre. For example, when one reacts to any situation emotionally, a whole host of various feelings surface simultaneously and counteract with one another (as an action or possibility of action) is considered. When one gets angry or depressed, does one just feel angry or depressed? No; one feels all kinds of emotions within the overall emotional expression or mode of feeling. This is what is meant by the range of depth and layering of emotions within classical music. In other forms of music, the present is here and now. There is no past or future. In classical music, the past, present and future exist simultaneously amidst emotional expression and consideration.
